Water has a calming effect on your mind, allowing you to go into a meditative state. These are some bodies of water that my family and I have enjoyed over the past few years. • The beach is my happy place! There, and my kitchen. I’ve been to many of those place in your gorgeous photos. Destin, Jacksonville, Vero and Stuart, FL. Love Sailors Return. Yummy food and amazing view. Also visited Virginia Beach. Plus many that you haven’t mentioned. Grew up spending summers in Atlantic City, NJ. And I have lived in South Florida for 37 years so we have explored most of the beaches including the Keys and West Coast. There is no such thing as a bad day at the beach!

    • I agree, the beach is a wonderful place to be! I lived in S. Florida for 16 years. When I lived there I would go to the Keys often, love them and need to return there.
I have been to many places with gorgeous waters, including Lake Como in Italy! If you have not been there try to get there in your lifetime.

  • I love these pictures! Water, it must bring me back to my birth – always comforting. Thanks for the nice variety of water view settings!

  • Beautiful pictures. Thank you for sharing! Rumor has it, I am a “water sign”…according to my daughter. She must be right because there is nothing in nature I connect more to than water. My favorite is the ocean. I could sit and listen to the waves for hours…days! I love to think about how vast it is and it’s power. It reminds me of God, and that he is in control and has me and every person on earth in his hands. This brings peace and calmness to my soul. 💞.

    • Yes water is so peaceful. I want to get a fountain/waterfall sculpture for my screen porch so that when I am not at the beach or lake I can at least go there in my head.

  • I’ve been to several of your pictured beaches! I agree that being around the water is soothing for the soul. Thanks for the amazing photos!

    • They are all great places to go to. Two of our favorites are Edisto Beach and the last visit to Virginia Beach was great too!

  • Beautiful pictures! My husband loves to be on the water. He gets our family out on a boat any chance he can get 🙂

  • Gorgeous pictures! I love the water, too. I’ve been to a few places along the east coast, and this summer, I got to go to the west coast for the first time. Beach time is the best!

  • Grew up with Lake Life, and honestly miss it. Lakes in Florida are not the same as The Great Lake State!

    • That’s a great childhood to live near water. I miss living by the beach and having it easily accessible to me, so I understand how you miss it.

  • Stunning photos! Totally agree that water is relaxing…it’s my favorite form of meditation and therapy 😎 Am actually staying at a cabin on a lake over the 4th and then headed to Florida on Sunday. I should be set for a while.
