Arrington Vineyards in Tennessee

When I visited Arrington Vineyards it was a perfect day.  It was in October when the weather was crisp; it was simply a beautiful time of year to visit Arrington Vineyards in Tennessee.

Visiting the Vineyards

Usually, when I visit Franklin and Nashville, TN, I like to spend an afternoon at Arrington Vineyards  enjoying a picnic and a glass of their signature wines.  It’s a place to relax and enjoy the grape as they say.  You can go as a couple, just girlfriends or have a celebration as we did. Having great people with you is always a plus!

I had not been able to visit the vineyards for seven years, but this year my family and I did make it! Even though it has grown because they have added vines and an event pavilion, it still is quaint and super relaxing!

A Little Bit of Background

Arrington Vineyards was started back in 2003 by Kip Summers and another partner who had a passion for wine. They bought a hog farm and started clearing the land and planted grapevines to begin their vineyards. Country music star Kix Brooks now owns Arrington, along with Kip Summers the winemaker, and businessman John Russell.

These vineyards are now known as Nashville’s wine country.

I enjoyed taking in the view

In 2007 Arrington became official for producing their own wine.  Although they only sell their wine in stores in TN and feature them in restaurants in NYC and New Orleans, they also have a wine club. To learn more about them, you can check out their website Arrington Vineyards.

What to Bring

I advise bringing a picnic basket full of your choice or food.  We brought some different cheeses, fruits, cold cuts, and freshly baked bread.   You can also bring sparkling water or regular water and other beverages for those who are not drinking the wine.  They do have picnic tables; but just in case they are taken, I would bring a blanket and some folding chairs with you too!
