Bonnet Creek Wyndham

One of my family’s favorite resorts we love staying at is the Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort in Orlando, Florida.  Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek is not only a resort, but there is also a hotel on-site called Wyndham Grand, and oh is it grand!  Not only is this one of our favorites, but many others have made this theirs too! Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek ranked #4 on Conde Nast’s Reader’s Choice Awards list in 2018!

Stay Using Your Ownership or Paying For Your Stay

When we visit the Resort, we stay using our points as an owner, which has its advantages.  We have not stayed at the hotel, but we can dine at their restaurants and have other perks.  If you are not a Wyndham owner, you can pay for your stay through many avenues, such as Extra Holidays, owners who advertise, as well as call the hotel directly.

One of the reasons I can stay for a few nights to a week or more is that I get to decide how short or long I want to stay because as an owner, I can use my Wyndham points.  A nice perk as a Wyndham owner is that I can stay at any of the resorts without an exchange fee, and I can use points at any time that I have them available.  There is much to learn about owning a Wyndham timeshare and overtime, so I will let you know how it works using points, and why it is one of our favorite places to stay when we visit Orlando.

The Property

Each condo is beautifully decorated and beautifully maintained and updated regularly.   And if you should find something that needs repairing or updating, you can let the staff know, and Wyndham will get right on it.  But to be honest, over the ten years we have been going to Bonnet Creek, we’ve never needed to report anything because it seemed that they were on it before we discovered it.

The Resort has two activity centers, one in Building One and one in Building Six, their Presidential Tower.  You can get something to eat at one of their many restaurants on site.  Wyndham Bonnet Creek has two coffee shops, one at the Wyndham Grand Hotel lobby, The Barista, and one in Building One at their little convenience shop with a small grocery selection.  Did I mention their coffee shops serve Starbucks if you are a fan?  If not, you can make your coffee in the kitchen in your condo!

If you want to BBQ your meal yourself, they have three Grills on the property with picnic tables to eat at too!

Tips on What Tower to Request When Booking

When reserving our condo at Wyndham Bonnet Creek, our personal preference is lodging in Tower Five, where the lazy river is. *More tips are coming on HOW TO request which Tower you prefer and other inside information in a post coming soon. Tower Six is where the units are all Presidential Suites—their one-bedroom to the four-bedroom units, located on the top floor.  Tower Six has a wading pool, a large pool, and a pirate ship waterslide, which is the coolest.

When our children were younger, the pirate ship pool was their favorite. As they grew older, they preferred the lazy river and pool adjacent to Tower Five.  I would sit at the restaurant overlooking the lazy river and have a tropical beverage and watch as my husband would go along.

If you have young children who may enjoy the playground, splash pool, or mini-golf and prefer to stay nearby, you may request Tower One, Two, or Three.  Tower Two is where the mini-golf and splash pool is located.  Tower One has the playground, plus one of the better views for fireworks. When activities are up and running, the Resort has family movie nights on the lawn near Tower One and Pizza night at Tower Two.

No worries about the selection of pools; Bonnet Creek has many to choose from when you want to cool off.

They have a few restaurants that we frequent there.  Back Bay Bar & Grill is one of them. It is open from 11 am till 10 pm and is part of the Wyndham Grande, the hotel.  It’s right on the water, and if we eat there in the evening on the patio, we can have front row seats to watch the fireworks at Disney at night.  We have watched the Fireworks from our balcony too!

Location, Location, Location

If you decide not to go to any of the nearby theme parks, there is so much to do at the Resort; however, it’s location is another excellent feature of Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek.  It’s down the street from Disney Epcot and Disney Springs, and is a short drive to Universal and Sea World.

My family and I have truly enjoyed our stays at Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek in Orlando. We have so many memories and will continue to build them with family, solo, and friends!  I have stayed there so often with and without my family that the bellman calls me by name!  It’s like a home away from home when I travel to Orlando. The staff has always been exceptional in all our stays over the past ten years.

I hope you can see how nice it is to stay at Bonnet Creek; photos will say it all.   Let me know if you have ever stayed there or if you have any questions.

Meet Jennifer

Hello, I am Jennifer Elkin, founder of Me and My Traveling Hat. My family and I have been traveling the USA for the past 22 years, building lifetime memories. We have been to 33 states staying at resorts a majority of the time because we have timeshare properties.

I’ve decided I want to show others how they can get the most out of their timeshares, sharing our ideas on the best resorts to stay at, the best places to eat, and the greatest places to visit in order to build wonderful vacation memories of their own!
